Rocket League Season 9 Release Date, Rewards, and More

Rocket League, a soccer game in which you play with Rocket engine-powered cars, took the gaming community by storm when it was released.

Nobody would have thought that there could be a crossover of the two most, unlike sports, car racing and soccer.

The game was released in July 2015 and became an overnight sensation. The game attracted even more players when it became free to play in 2020, the perfect time when we were at our homes and had very little to do.

Rocket League has been relevant since the day it was released, the developers keep on bringing fresh content to the game that increases the replayability of the game. Before the game was free-to-play, a total of 14 seasons had already taken place, and after the game became a free-to-play title, a total of 7 seasons (not counting the current season) have concluded.

Rocket League’s season 8 is almost about to end and with that, a brand new season 9 will get started. Today in this post we will be looking at the Rocket League Season 9 release date, the possible rewards, and new content that could be added to the game.

Rocket League Season 9 Release Date

A season of Rocket League typically lasts for 3-4 months, the Rocket League season 9 was released on December 7, 2022. The Rocket League community was excited about this news and was eagerly waiting for the new season.

They have also tweeted a video that teases the players with the upcoming season 9.

Rocket League Season 9 Trailer

The official YouTube channel of Rocket League has posted a Rocket League season 9 trailer. Though the trailer is just 15 seconds in length we gotta admit that it is superb and very intriguing. The trailer begins with two rocket cars chasing after the ball and colliding head-on. The cars continue to accelerate against each other before exploding and sending a huge shockwave into the Forbidden Temple map.

The shockwave even creates a rift in the sky, which seems very similar to that in Fortnite. So maybe Psyonix is hinting toward a Rocket League and Fortnite crossover. Though it will not be the first time that the games will feature a crossover. The previous crossovers have been small and limited to cosmetics and small events.

At the end of the trailer, we can also see an orb inside of which two dragons (resembling ice and fire) can be seen revolving around each other. The orb gets cracked because of the shockwave, which raises questions about what will happen if those two dragons come out of that orb.

Rocket League Season Rewards & Rocket Pass

With the new season, players will be getting new Rocket Passes. This season’s theme might somewhat be related to fire and ice, but more remains to be seen. Psyonix will be making an announcement on December 1. We will be updating this post with all the details of the announcement that Rocket League makes.

We speculate that Rocket League will be unveiling the theme for the brand new Rocket League Season 9 in the announcement on December 1. The announcement could reveal everything that the players are going to get in the new season.

Rocket League players know that the average length of each season is 3-4 months except for Season 3 which lasted for nine months and Season 14 which lasted for six months.
